Recovery of the whole person

Our program reflects the fact that regardless of complicating physical or psychological factors, addiction is a primary illness, and that illness portrays itself in not only one’s inability to control the use of alcohol and drugs, but by a delusional state, in which sufferers are unable to recognise their dependence. The program seeks to break through this delusion/denial, and to re-equate the client not only with reality, but also the need for positive behaviour changes so that they may establish a responsible lifestyle.

Our program includes:

  • Weekly group therapy sessions for a minimum of one year (longer if desired).
  • Continuation of 1:1 counselling session, as required.
  • On-going review of care plans and reappraisal of goals.
